Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (200g) M&M candies


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and M&M candies.
  6. Drop dough balls onto baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For chewier cookies, use more brown sugar and slightly underbake them. Chill dough if it’s too soft to prevent spreading.
